About Alexandra,
BHSc, MACP, RP (Qualifying)

Welcome, and thank you for taking the first step in your therapy journey.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and solution-focused, grounded in each client’s unique needs, values, and lived experiences. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, burnout, grief, postpartum challenges, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other emotional or personal concerns. My goal is to help clients process difficult experiences, strengthen healthy coping strategies, and build on their existing resilience.

I am committed to providing culturally sensitive and responsive care. I value working collaboratively with clients to better understand their identities, worldviews, and personal experiences. Growing up in a religious family has also given me a unique understanding of the complexities of religion, religious trauma, faith, and spirituality, and I welcome conversations around these areas.

As a Portuguese-Yugoslavian-Canadian raised in an immigrant family and currently based in Ottawa, ON, I bring both personal and professional understanding to the diverse experiences and perspectives clients may hold.

I look forward to being a part of your journey.
